Gamers, rejoice—Razer just made mobile gaming a whole lot cooler. At CES 2025, the brand unveiled Razer PC Remote Play, a sleek new app that lets you stream and play your favorite PC games right on your phone or tablet. Whether you're an iPhone loyalist or ride for Android, the app supports both platforms—and yes, it works with your existing controllers.
This new feature-rich app is now live on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, designed to bring a seamless PC gaming experience to your fingertips, without tethering you to your desk setup. According to Razer, PC Remote Play streams games at native resolution, aspect ratio, and refresh rates, bringing the full experience of your desktop rig to your mobile screen.
Getting started is pretty simple. You’ll need to:
Install Razer Cortex on your Windows 11 PC
Install the Razer Nexus game launcher
Download the Razer PC Remote Play app on your iOS 18 or Android 12+ device
And of course, sign in with a Razer account (it’s free to make)
Once you’re logged in, all that’s left is pairing your devices over the same network—at least initially. After that, you’re good to stream from anywhere.
“Razer PC Remote Play uses the same technology as Moonlight,” the company said in its official announcement, nodding to the well-loved open-source game streaming tool. “It’s powered by the new AV1 video codec, offering lower latency and sharper streaming.”
Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll dive into performance tips, controller compatibility, and why this app might just replace your handheld console.
