London-based tech startup Nothing has officially announced that its upcoming Nothing Phone 3a will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The revelation comes straight from Carl Pei, CEO and co-founder of Nothing, as the brand gears up for its highly anticipated launch at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona.

“I’m happy to announce that we are going back to the Qualcomm Snapdragon series with the Phone (3a). Compared to the Phone (2a) Plus, it’s going to have 25% faster CPU and a 72% faster NPU,” Pei confirmed.

However, the exact Snapdragon chipset remains a mystery. With Qualcomm recently unveiling the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, speculation is rife that the Nothing Phone 3a could integrate this platform. Meanwhile, its pro variant, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, offering flagship-level performance in a premium mid-range package.
